DISTRICT GOVERNOR MD306 B - LION DR. ROHAN
PERERA.
Lion Dr Rohan is a product of St. Joseph's College Colombo,
where he had an outstanding scholastic record. He graduated from the faculty of
Medicine Colombo in December 1968. He specialized in Obstetrics &
Gynecology and has had a distinguished career both in Sri Lanka and later
in England. 
Lionism attracted him in 1994 and He joined the Lions Club of
Negombo. Over the years, he has progressed from President in 1998 to Zone
and then Region Chairman and finally District Governor of MD306-B in 2003. He is also the
holder of numerous awards which includes a Melvin Jones Fellowship and the
International Presidents Appreciation Certificate in 1999.
He is also very active in his Professional capacity and
currently is the Incumbent President of the Sri Lanka Menopause Society,
the Legal and Medical Professional Society of Negombo, Sri Lanka, and Vice
President of the South Asia Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also
a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist in the Private sector.
He is married to the wonderful Lady Priyaneetha, a Lion herself.
Their son, Stravinsky is also a Doctor of Medicine and their daughter,
Rozanne is a student of Foreign Languages and International Studies at the
University of Delaney, USA. Rozanne is also an active Leo.
